THE
POSTERITY
OF THE SUN
Curated by Paris-based Ludovic Delalande, The Posterity of the Sun is a group exhibition bringing together artists of different generations and origins from across the Mediterranean world. Eighteen artistic voices will be in dialogue outside the fair’s main hall, amidst the remnants of the former industrial site on the Limassol shoreline in Cyprus, an island often referred to as the Mediterranean’s cultural crossroads.
“The sun is an anchor. A reassuring constant in our apprehension of the world, it structures our days, regulates our biological cycles, and shapes our perception of time. A vital resource that no form of life can do without, it is a universal good. A symbol of abundance and clarity, its relentless force is both nurturing and destructive: it illuminates as much as it scorches, sustains as much as it consumes. The sun is a given. And yet, as a star, its destruction is inevitable… A multitude of works emerge amidst the ruins of decaying architecture, where the sun is no longer merely a source of light but a flickering presence, destined to vanish into the night of time - one final flare before the end foretold.
The Posterity of the Sun unfolds like the memory of a luminous recollection. A dazzle in which the imprint of the visible lingers. Beyond this tension, it is also an ode to human resistance. A collective utopia to say and to do together. In its cosmic indifference, the sun places us all equally before its light, reminding us that human life is inscribed in the transient, not the eternal.”

VIMA ART FAIR
VIMA, the first international contemporary art fair in Cyprus, will debut in Limassol 16-18 May 2025. With a focus on showcasing contemporary art from Cyprus and its neighbouring countries, VIMA also welcomes international galleries interested in engaging with Cyprus and the region as a whole.
Vima (Bήμα), which in Greek means ‘step’ but also a ‘podium’ or ‘platform’, aspires to build bridges between the fast-growing art ecosystems in Cyprus and those in its neighbouring countries. Not entirely in the ‘East’ nor geographically ‘West’, it carves out a social space for interaction and practices of neighbourliness. Occupying this unique position, VIMA aims to offer participants and audiences alike, an inclusive, accessible and meaningful entry point to diverse cultural exchanges.
As the production team behind Posterity of the Sun, we provided full-scale support across all stages of the exhibition’s development — from early conceptualization to on-site realization. Our role was to create the optimal conditions for artistic expression while ensuring a seamless experience for everyone involved.
We coordinated closely with the curator and participating artists, managing communications and workflows to align creative visions with practical execution. This included liaising with architects and scenographers to develop the exhibition's spatial design and technical requirements.
Our responsibilities spanned logistics and technical production: we sourced and rented specialized equipment, arranged accommodations and local transportation for artists, and oversaw the construction of a bespoke pavilion in collaboration with a team of skilled constructors.
In addition to infrastructure, we handled photography documentation, ensuring the exhibition was both well-documented and publicly visible.
We curated guided tours and a site-specific performance. This involved scouting performers, arranging rehearsals, and producing the event in alignment with the exhibition's conceptual narrative.
Our commitment throughout was to foster a collaborative and responsive environment, allowing each artistic and curatorial element to unfold with clarity, care, and professionalism.
